One of the tricks I always recommend is mirror talking. Look at yourself in the mirror. Repeat affirmations such as “You are Strong,” “You Can Do It,” or “You are Capable.” Create your own affirmations and keep repeating them.
But don’t just repeat them. Believe in them. Take small steps. Start socializing. Create a list of things you think you can never do and then each week, try to cross off one thing after doing it.
